  • Curso en Inglés «Videogames & Media» – código INT155 (horario I201)

This course explores video games as a unique and powerful medium of communication, focusing on their ability to convey narrative through player interaction and engagement. Students will analyze how video games create immersive storytelling experiences that require active participation, shaping the way messages are communicated and understood. Through a combination of theoretical exploration and practical analysis, students will learn to critically evaluate the communicative potential of video games, examining their role in contemporary media and culture. By the end of the course, students will be equipped with the tools to assess the narrative and interactive dimensions of games and their broader implications as a communication medium.

  • Curso en Inglés «Faith and Contemporary Culture» – código TEO104 (horario I201)

Docente: Carlos Piccone Camere, PhD

The course covers the following topics: the challenges of contemporary culture to the Christian faith (Modernity and Postmodernity, globalization and identity claims, generational gaps), the transition from the experience of God to the recognition of fundamental lines of biblical Revelation, creation and the meaning of human existence; the God of the Bible: a liberating-redeeming God, a God of life: “The glory of God is the life of man” (St. Irenaeus).

It examines the ways in which religious faith and spirituality interact with and are influenced by the complexities of modern culture and society. It explores the challenges and opportunities that arise when religious traditions engage with contemporary issues such as secularism globalization technology ethics and social justice. Through critical analysis interdisciplinary perspectives and dialogue students will gain a deeper understanding of the relationship between faith and culture in today’s world.
